GCo Electrical has marked a significant milestone in its 17 years of operations, achieving 1,000 days injury free.
Since inception, GCo has grown due to their reputation for safe, quality and reliable performance, supported by proven management systems.
In almost three years, 150 employees have spent thousands of work hours across various sites and projects at GCo Electrical.
“I felt a great sense of satisfaction once we crossed the 1,000 day threshold, knowing that we can operate our business and see our team get home to their family safely each day is really fulfilling,” stated Murray Hadley CEO of GCo Electrical.
According to the Workplace Injury and Disease Recording Standard, lost time injury is defined as an occurrence that resulted in a fatality, permanent disability or time lost from work of one day/shift or more.
We can credit this streak to an ongoing focus on safety that is embedded deep in our culture. This dedication to a culture of safety underpins everything we do.
We instil the Golden Rules of safety, in every staff member from bottom to top. From presenting fit for work every single day, always being personally accountable for safety and not being afraid to ask questions minimises risk and injury.
This is a testament to having professional attitudes portrayed by our staff and our project management team.
We hope to maintain the momentum and see another 1000 days without incident.
